Ignorance sometimes annoys me. i admit, i'm not the most knowledgeable person around and there are so many things that i'm still unaware of. however, my point is when one knows that there is something that he/she does not know about and should know about (the sentence is a little complicated, keke...), he/she has to at least be proactive and do something about it.
Wikipedia says "Ignorance is the state in which a person lacks knowledge and is unaware of something. This should not be confused with being unintelligent, as one's level of intelligence and level of education or general awareness are not the same. The word "Ignorant" is an adjective describing a person in the state of being unaware."
You may think it is useless general information like current affairs, some origins of festivals or even keeping an eye on the market price for a certain gadget out in the market etc... BUT, it may come in useful when you may need to purchase a gadget or when someone happens to ask you for your opinion on a world event.
What's worse than ignorance is the lack of common sense. It's hard to explain, but it's when a person does/asks something and makes you think to yourself "Duh, shouldn't you know that already?" It can get so infuriating sometimes dealing like with people like these, as if you have to babysit them. Hello... Grow up already!
