I'm supposed to be working right now... subtitling a few videos...
I've just learned to subtitle videos in less than a day (all by myself, no less!) using stuff that fansubbers use and after getting through a few software knots, the rest should be smooth-sailing...
But, as usual, I can't concentrate on a single task for too long and so here I am. Thank goodness that I can work at home cuz the office environment does get a little distracting. I've been reading My Sister's Keeper cuz of the movie, and I want to go watch it after... If it remains loyal to the book, it should be pretty good.
But, movies based on books are rarely what you expect them to be, so I'm going to go in the theatre with an open mind. You learn to separate the book from the movie and appreciate the story from all three angles (the book, the movie and the movie based on the book), especially since everyone will have different interpretations of it. Hey it's a free world.
Meanwhile, a few songs I've been listening to:
Zhang Liyin's 晴天/雨天
Finally! After a long wait, the song is finally out! Although the MV's a little lacklustre compared to her previous movie-like MVs. It's a picture slideshow for crying out loud! SM Ent, can't you just spend another 50% more of the original budget and make it live action? Although, from another angle, it does have the 'reminiscing' concept... and it better be... Liyin's voice has matured... and she looks nice with Donghae in the MV.
Taeyeon & Sunny - Sarangingeolyo
I like Taeyeon's voice, and Sunny's is beginning to grow on me... If only they would do such stuff for their album, that would be nice... maybe even Tracy would like them better...
Jessica feat. Onew - One Year Later
I like the imagery of the song. I put this performance up cuz the Onew's voice broke in the other, although it wasn't that obvious. I usually like duets. Jessica's popularity has been on the rise lately... I didn't really like her at first, but she's one of the few SNSD members that I would follow.
Super Junior KRY & Yoo Young Jin - Sorry Sorry R&B remix
Doesn't sound like a remix, more like a song of its own. KRY should do more songs like this.

Omg, it’s been so long since I last blogged. Been busy with work and stuff, it that is any excuse. Quick update on goings-on with me: I went to Beijing and Shanghai for a work trip for about 10 days (about 2 weeks ago) to oversee filming of commercial/promotional/award (don’t know how to describe it exactly) for 4 clients. It was pretty fun, but tiring. It got a bit boring when I was on my own, mostly stayed in my hotel room cuz I didn’t know where to go, especially in Beijing. But I went out for a bit in Shanghai and bought a few things, although nothing out of the ordinary (extraordinary? Can’t remember the expression).
Oh and Audrey, I went to eat Quan Ju De Peking Roast Duck, like finally! Hahaha…
So that was the trip. Before that, went to watch this movie with Tracy called Orphan. Storyline was interesting (shan’t say too much cuz you can read the plot on Wikipedia), albeit a little gory. There’s a part where one of the female leads breaks her arm with a vice (you know those in the D&T workshops..) and you see the bone pop. Not my favourite thing to watch, and I’d warn you not to eat/drink anything while watching, especially if you have a weak stomach. The girl that plays Esther in the movie was great, for a American 12-year old to play a 30plus-year old woman acting as a kid (with a Russian accent) is really hard to pull off, but she did. Not for the faint-hearted, but I do recommend it, despite the bloody parts.
I got a new handphone and my Ipod Touch within the same week, which is awesome.
Oh and I’ve been so behind on the news lately. I just read/watched the ridiculous stuff on the Miss Singapore World, Ris Low. Credit card fraud notwithstanding, she is just plain bimbotic (or at least the impression I have of her from the Youtube clip I watched), can’t even speak clearly (there are so many girls out there that speak way better), and just doesn’t have the pageant X-factor. Even if we don’t stand a chance of getting to the top five of the international Miss World pageant, whoever we send is going to be representative of what this country stands for. Is she really worthy of the title? I don’t know who is second in line to represent Singapore, but she probably is a better choice to send to the international pageant (Although, the rest of the girls ain’t so great either. Where are the pretty/brainy girls in Singapore?!! I know we have ‘em!!)

honestly... i'm bored so here goes...
I started this blog in June of 2006, and now it's been 3+ years... How time flies.... Looking back at some of the posts, i think i've grown some (hopefully), my writing style has changed and OMG... i looked so different! At least i think i have better hair now... I've gotten over most teen emo-ey stuff (as emo as i could have been then, anyway) and hopefully i'll have something nice to look forward to before i hit the twenties (no much time left! it's in 3 months! I'm getting old)...
To my past memories... bye for now... I'm moving on to another stage of my life...

Ok... i've been hiding under a rock for the past few months since graduation, save for the odd outing here and there, most recently lil's birthday barbeque (happy birthday Lil!).
So before I go mad from hermit-ism, if there is such a term, please please ask me out! it's so hard to coordinate schedules and stuff, and i'm not good at organising such things! i'm free most evenings except tuesdays and thursdays (unless you tell me in advance), and on weekends. Just meet up for dinner, karaoke (which i have been asking for months to no avail, grrr you all *pouts*),chit chat also can! Tiffany and Regina, haven't seen you too for the longest time! please, sms/call me soon!

Plastic surgery. Something many celebrities (or even the average joe/jane) rely on to look different. I say different, not better or more beautiful because it does not guarantee better looks or beauty. Some people get so worked up over so and so getting a nose job, double eyelid surgery, boob job etc… what I don’t get is, what is the big fuss. We all still love Michael Jackson, overdone face and all. We still watch the TV shows with actors and actresses who have had something done somewhere. I just think that it is so hypocritical to criticize someone that has/ has not (but due to late blooming, better human evolution looks like he has) gone through plastic surgery and then turn around and overlook the fact that the person that they like better has done IT and be all defensive over him or her. Seriously, who isn’t vain these days? So many people pay large amounts of money to go to dermatologists, slimming salons, for facials. What is the difference with plastic surgery? As long it is not so overdone that no one can recognize you anymore and it must make you feel better about yourself, I think it is fine.

Was in KL for the weekend and did a little bit of shopping. Despite the warnings of robberies and crime targeted at foreigners, KL is pretty safe as long as you don’t go round parading your tourist status. One would really need a car to get around though; it’s too much of a hassle to get a taxi, much less the public bus. Didn’t take any photos because there was nothing much to take, but I must say that Sunway Pyramid looked very pretty with the big Sphinx thingy. Price-wise for the shoppers, most of the clothes and stuff is almost comparable to Singapore, but if you’re there for the food, then you’re in for a treat because food is cheaper there. Got some Malaysian and Taiwanese magazines that weren’t available in Singapore, shoes, make-up and a couple of T-shirts that were on sale. And that was my weekend in Kuala Lumpur in brief. *bows and curtsies¬¬*
**On the side, today’s commuting to and from work was interesting. To work: It was raining cats and dogs when I reached Tanjong Pagar, the escalators weren’t working and the whole exit was full of human traffic. Some lame people even took photos with their camera phones while trying to get out, which is stupid cuz can’t you see everyone is stuck?! I think I even saw a dlsr or something like that taking photos *rolls eyes*. And I got soaked because I didn’t bring an umbrella.
On the way back home: A guy fainted in the MRT. Really sudden. He was out for half a minute. Everyone was shocked stiff and just stared till some people who were near him helped him up and let him sit. I think no one dared to move him at first cuz they were scared he might have a fit, in which case it would be wise not to move the guy any old how.

Aiyo the results of this clothes quiz is so contradicting....
What others see from your style
You probably live in your own little world and studiously avoid having to search for your own identity. You may feel that you are not loved, and being in your imaginary world is your way of coping with this. You get moody easily.
What your nightclothes reveal
You are friendly and always in good mood. You are candid and helpful, and can be sexy at times too.
What others see from your ties
You enjoy being alone. You like to life the simple but good life, and you cherish your freedom. You are thoughtful, confident and uninterested in glamour.
What others see from your belts
You are a kind of person who likes to hide your feelings. You may have a hot temper but tend to cover it with an outwardly calm and gentle demeanor. You are sensitive when it comes to love.
What others see from your shoes
You like to be the center of attention. You like to look good at all times and probably never leave the house without makeup on. Although you may be intelligent, you're also insecure about your looks. You care about others, and will always listen to what they have to say.
What others see from your earrings
You are probably a free spirit at heart with artistic talent. You are absolutely unique and are always coming up with lots of great ideas. Being happy is your most important goal.
The last analysis
You are probably a clever and adventurous person. You love to learn new things, and enjoy socializing with friends. Although you enjoy your freedom, you cherish peacefulness and like to spend time alone with your thoughts.

Took this quiz that was on Audrey's blog sometime back.. true for most of the results, i think...

You are very serious about relationships and aren't interested in wasting time with people you don't really like. If you meet the right person, you will fall deeply and beautifully in love. Your views on education
You may not like to study but you have many practical ideas. You listen to your own instincts and tend to follow your heart, so you will probably end up with an unusual job. The right job for you:
You're a practical person and will choose a secure job with a steady income. Knowing what you like to do is important. Find a regular job doing just that and you'll be set for life. How do you view success:
